Lord, this is the day that you have made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it, even as we know it will bring more than we can do. Amen.
Chronological Reading: Psalm 26, 40, 58, 61-62, 64
- I believe this should be a daily request from us to God, “Test me, Lord, and try me, examine my heart and my mind“
- 40:8 says, “I desire to do your will, my God; your law is within my heart” – wonder if you can reverse to make this true, meaning, does a person who has God’s law within their heart, desire to do his will?
Common Prayer Reading for the 19th: Psalm 98:1-4; Haggai 1; Galatians 6:11-18
- I’ve seen this first chapter of Haggai misused a few more than one time
May this be our prayer today:
May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
